Checking for Understanding Stoplight!
For reading and math I have students write the lesson’s objective on their “I Can” statement sheet. For other subjects, for a quick check to see student’s understanding of the concept being taught, I have students write what they’ve learned from the lesson and stick it on the light color showing their understanding. This allows for a quick RTI group to reteach or review the skill, or if the majority of students are in the red and yellow it shows me that I need to reteach the lesson.

Math and Reading "I CAN" statements
At the beginning of each lesson my students write down the lesson's objective. For example, "I can add and subtract fractions with unlike denominators" Then at the end of the lesson students will solve a problem, write down what they know, or questions they might still have. Students use their "I CAN" statements as a chance to show off what they know.

Math Predictive Acuity Testing Results
Using this Acuity information I made RTI groups for standards my class was weak in. At the end of the year Acuity had two of my students predicted not to pass ISTEP+.

Language Predictive Acuity Testing Results
I use the Acuity information to see what standards my students are weakest in. I then form my RTI groups based off that information.
